FREEBIRD Airlines plane, which took off from Tallinn at 9.30 p.m., landed in Gazipasa at 00.30 a.m. The airline’s aircraft with 189 passengers on the board was greeted with a solemn ceremony. Two fire engines turned on the water jets.

The coordinator of the airport Jenis Ashikli, assistant of the mayor of Gazipasa Adem Kaya and employees of the airport were waiting for the crew and the passengers at the airport. The crew were presented with flowers and sweets.

Coordinator of the airport Jenis Ashikli noted that in 2019 during the season period Gazipasa airport is planning to take 30 flights from Tallinn.

The international airport of Alanya “Gazipaşa” (Gazipasha) is a small air harbor, which takes up to 1.5 million passengers a year. The airport is equipped with one runway with the length 2350 meters. The airport can take medium-haul passenger aircrafts, such as Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.

The distance from the airport to the city is 45 km, and it can be overcome in less than 30 minutes.
