”We will promote Turkey’s tourism opportunities from this year not from the point of view of beach holidays. Tourists will be able to learn about gastronomic tourism in Turkey, its historical and cultural monuments”, – Minister of culture and tourism Mehmet Ersoy said.
According to him, in April the flow of tourists to Turkey increased by 24% (year-on-year). The Minister noted that this is the result of active advertising of recreation in the country.
“To achieve revenues from tourism at the level of 70 billion dollars by 2023, it is necessary to increase revenues from the sphere of gastronomic tourism. In this regard, serious work is being done”, – Ersoy added.
