The airport will contribute to the growth of trade and economic development, strengthening ties between neighboring countries of the Black sea coast, the development of tourism business of the entire East Black sea coast of Turkey, the Minister of transport added.After the completion of the construction, Rize-Artvin airport will become the second Turkish airport, which is built in the open sea. The first Maritime airport in Turkey is Ordu Giresun airport, which is also located on the Black sea coast.
