The Governor of Antalya province Munir Karaloglu signed a circular according to which all tourist infrastructure facilities must follow high safety standards to minimize the number of accidents with tourists. To do this, district governors were required to assemble inspection commissions to conduct inspections at the facilities.Also, checks are carried out at the tour desk, firms engaged in car rental, and companies that organize active and extreme recreation. The measures are aimed at preventing the decline of tourist flow and attract more tourists to Turkey.From January 1st  to mid-September, Antalya took a record number of foreign tourists  – 12.8 million.
